Katrin Lewertoff heads the firm’s worldwide trademark prosecution practice. Lewertoff has extensive experience in domestic and foreign trademark prosecution. She regularly assists clients in U.S. and foreign jurisdictions on a variety of intellectual property matters, including clearance, adoption and filing of trademarks, trademark investigations, license agreements, prosecution of copyright applications, and litigation of trademark and Internet domain name disputes. Lewertoff also has experience with global intellectual property transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and secured financing. Her current clients include companies in the fields of food and beverage, cosmetics, clothing, toys, pharmaceuticals, energy, and financial services. Prior to joining Ferdinand IP, Lewertoff practiced in New York City with Sidley & Austin and, most recently, with Arent Fox.

Marc Foodman heads the firm’s worldwide patent prosecution practice. Foodman has been practicing for more than 25 years, both as in-house counsel with prominent corporations and in private practice. He has extensive experience in a wide range of industries including computer hardware and software, telecommunications, oilfield services, gaming and consumer marketing. His corporate positions include General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Walker Digital Management, LLC, an independent R&D lab that invents new ways to conduct consumer oriented businesses; Vice President, Intellectual Property at Avaya; Vice President, Intellectual Property at Sun Microsystems; Director, Intellectual Property at International Game Technology; and Patent Counsel at Schlumberger. He began his career at Kilpatrick, Townsend and Stockton, an intellectual property law firm in San Francisco, and was most recently with the Nevada based firm Watson Rounds for six years.
